Welsh Open 2011

The 2011 Welsh Open F3F will be held on 16, 17, 18 September 2011.

Entry will be limited to 55 pilots. Registration will start at 10:00 AM on 26 Feb and close at midnight on 26 June.

You can register by emailing the organiser after 9.59 AM on 26 Feb with your name, confirmation that you hold an FAI licence and two 35 mHz frequencies (or confirm that you are on 2.4gHz).

Bits and bobs

I popped to Whitesheet to meet up with Vic and get some fuselages back (long story). Fun day that even saw my trusty Vector DS come out to play.  It was however bloody cold and it was that which put paid to proceedings as both our Rx batteries spectacularly collapsed, fortunately on the ground.

I've also managed to get some servos in the Extreme wing.  The more I play with that plane the more I am impressed by the quality and attention to detail. Also the MKS DS6125 servos so far appear to be the best wing servos I have ever come across.

Winter League 2

Fun day.  15 mph Westerly on Mickey's slope.  Very variable.
